What’s New

Current Exhibition: “After the Sunset”
Date: Oct. 3 - 29th, 2026
Gallery hours: Tue - Sat, 10 am - 4 pm
Venue: KAC Alcove Gallery, the Old Courthouse, 7 Seymour St. West, Kamloops, BC

In this exhibit, I explored the inner state of ordinary people living through everyday struggles. Through scenes in the evening, I tried to capture the moment ordinary working people go back to themselves after long hours of putting on a persona; Places and times when people become more personal and re-engage their true feelings, be loud and loose, or indulge in isolation, and just being humans. I am not a very social person myself, but I find people in this state are more approachable and interesting. I feel less distance, less cold and more connected. Probably this is why I see beauty in the “After the Sunset” atmosphere.

Artist Statement

My inspiration comes from ordinary scenes from everyday life. I believe there is beauty in all things we see and experience, however it can be easily overlooked amongst daily hustle and bustle. Life is a long process of living every day and the accumuration of emotions and memories evoked by all that. This is why I believe loving life is to cherish moments of ordinarity. The purpose of my art is to bring them on to canvases and share with the world.
